EIGHT?!

It really is Great to be EIGHT!

I really CANNOT believe that it has been EIGHT years since I
became a mom to the sweetest little boy.
From day one Blake has always been so sweet and the older he has gotten
the more caring he is of others. Blake is an awesome example and is always aware
of other peoples feelings. Since his first day of school he has always had multiple
best friends because he doesn't think its nice to have just one.
He is an amazing big brother to his three little sisters, they are three really
lucky little girls to have Blake looking out for them.
He loves his dad and wants to be just like him
(lucky for him, he already is A LOT like him!)
He loves playing ALL sports but favors football, basketball, and baseball.
Things come naturally to him, especially with sports and I'll always LOVE
watching him compete in these different sports.
I'm so excited for Blake and for his decision to be baptized!

Happy 8th Birthday Blake!!

On Blake's actual birthday he had a double header football game and they
won both games! He also had a pick and two touchdowns!
He was SO excited! :)
He chose to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse after hearing that you
get to ride on a saddle and get an ice cream sundae!

Daily Updates...

Just some little updates of whats been going on lately...

This crazy little 2 1/2 year old is always looking to get someone
to laugh... or she is as SHY as can be?!!
You just never know!!
With Kenzie's help, Peyton is now potty trained!!
She gives Kenzie NO privacy in the bathroom and decided
she wanted to do what Kenzie was doing, so after
buying her a pack of panties she did it!! She was the easiest to potty train! :)

Fun times at the Halloween store...
Kendyl at 5 months! :)
This fun/sassy little girl can ALWAYS be found
upside down! She LOVES to watch tumbling youtube
videos and teach herself different tricks!
She has taught herself a
backbend
front and back walkovers
and one handed cartwheels!
She is ALWAYS tumbling!! :)
(note the bump on her forehead: tumbling at recess)
When the big kids are at school poor Peyton
is SO bored... so we try and have playdates every
once in a while...
Lyvi and Peyton playing dress up! :)
The older Kendyl gets the more these two cute
little girls become friends and
I LOVE IT!
I'm not sure how this has happened, but Blake is turning
EIGHT and preparing for his baptism!!
One evening he and I went on a date to take pictures
and get dinner! I cannot say enough times how happy I am to
have Blake as a son and how even happier I am that he is my first
child! I couldn't have asked for a better example to me and to his
three little sisters! They are three pretty lucky little girls to have such
a good big brother around!
He is definitely a mini me of Ryan!!

Fall Break!

This year for fall break we decided to have a "stay-cation" since Ryan had
just started a new job the previous week!
(Loan officer at Fairway)
One of the days I took the kids to the
Mesa Children's Museum.
We had never been there before,
besides how busy it was the kids LOVED it!!

Blake and Peyton decided to put
The Alexander Show
on the marquee. ;)
 making crafts...
 Jumbo size light bright!

Another one of the days we met the
Galovichs at the zoo!
The kids all had so much fun...
Blake made a little monkey friend! ;)
 Kenzie looking at the cheetahs.
 So much fun!!
It was nice having a break from homework, early mornings, and
packing lunches... but after a week we were all ready to
get back to schedules! ;)

Deja Girl 2003-2013

Almost ten years ago on January 26, 2005 we adopted
Deja from Boxer Luv.
She was 2 years old and named Ariel.
She had SO MUCH energy and quickly became very attached
to Ryan. We quickly found out that she did not like bikes
(or anyone on a bike) and would bite at their ankles til
they got off the bike?! She also was not a fan of hispanics...
not exactly sure why, may have had something to do with
her first few years of life??
Deja quickly became very protective of Ryan and I.
One day while Ryan was at work I was home alone with Deja and was
taking my trash can out front. I had opened the side gate and turned around to get the trash,
Deja started to growl and by the time I turned around there were two hispanic men
walking up close behind me. Deja then started barking and running towards them,
after a few curse words from them they started running down my street!
Not sure what would have happened if Dej' weren't there, I'm just sure glad she was! :)
On the flip side of that story, one day after getting kids home from school
Peyton was a tiny baby sleeping and Deja was outside.
I heard lots of screaming coming from outside so I looked out the peephole
to see Deja barking like crazy and the neighbors son and another neighbor trying to hold her
back?!? I told the older kids to stay there and ran out to get Deja... she didn't play well with
other dogs and it was a little dog!! Luckily the dog was fine and I walked deja home. Two minutes later my neighbors husband, her, and her dog were at my door YELLING at me??
AFter apologizing I see Deja run across the street again?! The kids had let her out side and the gate was still open!? Ya, the neighbors WERE NOT happy!? I wasn't happy about Deja either!
Besides not playing well with other dogs, Deja has been a GREAT dog!
When bringing all four kids home from the hospital I always worried a little about
what Deja would do. After smelling the babies she became very watchful over them.
Whenever they would cry she would do her whining cry until we came to help the baby.
Sadly after almost ten years with Deja she began to have problems with her
back legs and hips. She would slip and slide all over our tile floors like
Bambi stil she would fall on her rear. She then would stay on her rear til someone
helped her back up. Sunday we noticed that she wasn't really eating any more
(not even people food or sliced cheese! here favorites!)
That night she moaned all night but didn't want to go outside or eat.
She just laid in our room not wanting to come out.
Ryan and I both knew how much pain she was in and how old she had gotten, and we
knew that the best thing for her was to be put down. :(
Ryan took her Monday afternoon and was able to stay with her til she
was down. We then told the kids that night and poor Blake ran to his room
crying. Ryan went in with him while I talked with the girls.
Peyton would ask, "where Deja go?" I would tell her "with Heavenly Father, remember?"
She would then clap her hands and say "yay Deja!"
We all then went into Blakes room and laid on his bed and talked about how much happier Deja is now that she is pain free!
Kenzie just kinda watched as Ryan, Blake and I would cry... when I asked her if she was
sad about Deja she replied, "ya, but I'm just glad it wasn't one of us!"
She is already planning what our next dog will look like?!
~
I'm so glad we were able to adopted Deja and that we were able to have ten GREAT years
with her!! With all the ups and downs no matter what she was always a great protector to our family
and always a very loyal dog.
We'll always think about her and know that she is no longer in any pain! :)
RIP Deja Girl!
All Dogs Go To Heaven! :)

Football Season!!

It's that time of year again!
Blake is playing in the 7-8 division and is on
the Seahawks team!
The cute team mom made all the sisters matching
Seahawks headbands!
She even ordered some bands for the moms!
 Team huddle before the game
Dylan and Blake were chosen to be
captains for the coin toss.
 Blake on the defense line...
Ryan (in the background) is the defense coach!
They played a tough team with lots of Blake's friends
from school.
After a close game and a interception by Blake
they lost by one touchdown.
It was an exciting game!
It looks like this will be a fun season to watch! :)

Kendyl's Turn!

While at the mall for June's birthday, I decided
that would be a good time to get Kendyl's ears pierced!
Sarah was there to be the photographer and
help watch the other little girls!
Kendyl did great and was by far my easiest baby to
get their ears pierced!
Here she is showing off her new bling! :)

Birthday Party FUN!

The month of August was a month full of Birthday Parties!!
Kenzie was invited to Gwens party at a cute little girls
boutique! They were given a princess makeover,
had a tea party, and a dance party! Such a cute place!
Kenzie and "Shweety" Gwen.

 Striking a pose! :)
 All the Party Girls!
     Tea Party! :)
Then, a few weeks later June Bug had a birthday!
She invited Peyton to go to the mall and
ride the motorized stuffed animals!
They had a rough start trying to figure them out,
but as soon as they got the hang of it...
they were off! :)
Sarah and I followed while pushing the babies in their strollers.
We also did a lot of video taping and even more laughing!!
We then went and rode the carousel and had
lunch at Chick Fila!
These girls all have SO much fun with each other!
